If one country is most of your trip, a single-country plan is the better buy: 10 GB costs from $7.00.
“Asia” means a different list of countries at every provider, so the first thing to compare is the country list, then the price. Below are four providers’ own prices for the same plan sizes, which countries each plan covers, and the cost of one regional plan against a separate plan per country. Our 16-country plan carries the Asialink name, the same name Airalo uses for its own Asia plan, and we sell it through a wholesale partner. The two listings are not identical: ours covers 16 countries and Airalo’s own page lists 18, adding India and Taiwan. Airalo’s unlimited plans slow to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day. Holafly’s have no daily speed cap, but hotspot sharing is limited to 1 GB a day.
Which countries each Asia plan covers
A regional plan only works in the countries on its list. These are the twelve destinations travellers combine most often.

Two gaps catch people out. Our 12-country plan has no Singapore, and its plan page names no network for mainland China, India or Bangladesh, so do not buy it for those. Our 16-country plan has no Taiwan. If you need all twelve destinations on one plan, our APAC plan covers them, along with Australia and New Zealand, at $21.40 for 12 GB.
One regional plan or one plan per country?
Count the countries and the gigabytes. With a regional plan, every country draws on one shared allowance. With separate plans, each country gets its own, and you install a new eSIM at each border. These are our prices on 11 October 2026.

The separate plans in the table are our cheapest 5 GB plans for 30 days: Japan at $5.30, South Korea at $5.00, Thailand at $4.80 and China at $5.50.
The regional plan wins when you move often and use a moderate amount of data. Heavy users should do the sum the other way. Four separate 10 GB plans for China, Japan, South Korea and Thailand cost $29.20 for 40 GB in total, about $0.73 a gigabyte, while our 20 GB regional plans work out at $0.91 to $0.95 a gigabyte. Singapore and Philippines eSIM prices compared

In Singapore, Code eSIM’s 10 GB plan also covers Malaysia and Thailand and uses StarHub; Airalo uses M1 and Singtel. In the Philippines, Code eSIM’s 10 GB plan can use both Smart and Globe, while Airalo uses Smart only and Holafly Globe only, which matters when you move between islands. That Philippines plan cannot be topped up, so buy enough data at the start.

In mainland China, the 16-country plan lists China Unicom, China Mobile and China Telecom, and the APAC plan lists China Telecom and China Unicom. Our page on where China eSIM data exits covers the China plans one by one. Three more details matter before you buy:
- When the days start. The APAC plan starts its 30 days when you install it. The others start on first data use in a covered country. Our guide to when an eSIM starts counting explains the difference.
- Android setup. The 16-country plan needs its APN set by hand on Android phones; the plan page flags this.
- Top-ups. If you want to add data mid-trip, the seven-country plan at $11.00 for 10 GB can be topped up and covers Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
When a regional Asia eSIM is the wrong choice

- You stream video every day. We do not sell an unlimited Asia plan. Airalo’s unlimited week is $26.00 and Holafly’s is $27.50.

- You want Central Asia, Nepal or Mongolia. Ubigi’s 26-destination plan lists Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Nepal and Mongolia. Ours do not.

Can one eSIM cover China, Japan, Korea and Thailand?
Yes, if all four are on the plan’s country list. Our 16-country plan covers them for $13.00 with 10 GB, and Airalo’s, Holafly’s and Ubigi’s Asia plans list all four too. Our cheaper 12-country plan covers Japan, South Korea and Thailand but names no network for mainland China.
Is a regional Asia eSIM cheaper than separate country eSIMs?
For three or more countries with moderate use, yes: one 10 GB plan for Japan, South Korea and Thailand cost $9.80 against $15.10 for three separate 5 GB plans. If you need about 10 GB in each country, separate plans cost less per gigabyte.
Which Asia eSIM covers the most countries?
Of the plans we checked on 11 October 2026, Ubigi’s lists 26 destinations, including Central Asia, at $42.00 for 10 GB. Our APAC plan lists 21, including Australia, New Zealand and India, at $21.40 for 12 GB. Airalo’s lists 18 and Holafly’s 16.
Does an Asia eSIM work in mainland China?
Only if mainland China is on the plan’s country list and the plan page names a Chinese network. Our 16-country plan lists China Unicom, China Mobile and China Telecom. Our China guide explains where each plan’s data exits.
Can I use hotspot with an Asia eSIM?
All of our Asia regional plans support hotspot, and shared data comes out of the same allowance. Holafly limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day on its unlimited Asia plan. Check the plan page before you buy elsewhere.
