Sparks is a travel eSIM brand sold through resellers, and we are one of them. On 13 October 2026 our catalogue had 167 Sparks plans for 39 destinations and regions, from $3.00 for 1 GB to $65.90 for a 20 GB global plan that lasts a year. Every one is data-only, starts on first data use, can be topped up, lists hotspot as supported and lists the UK as the place where its data exits.
People who search for Sparks usually want one of three things: what the plans cost, where they work, and whether the brand is any good. The plan listings answer the first two. On the third, we can tell you what each plan page states and how Sparks compares with the other brands we sell. We have not run speed tests, and we can only speak for the Sparks plans in our own catalogue.

How Sparks compares with other brands we sell
We sell plans from 15 brands, so for most destinations a Sparks plan has a neighbour. These are the closest matches in our catalogue on 13 October 2026.
| Destination | Sparks plan | Price | Closest plan from another brand | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Europe | Europe Special, 20 GB for 30 days | $18.70 | eSIMGo Europe, 20 GB for 30 days | $13.03 |
| Worldwide, a week | Global Special, 1 GB for 7 days | $6.50 | Airalo Global, 1 GB for 7 days | $6.60 |
| Worldwide, a month | Global Special, 3 GB for 30 days | $14.10 | Airalo Global, 3 GB for 30 days | $13.00 |
| Australia and New Zealand | 10 GB for 30 days | $12.00 | NextLink, 12 GB for 30 days | $12.40 |
| Egypt | 10 GB for 30 days | $11.85 | NextLink, 12 GB for 30 days | $12.25 |
| India | 10 GB for 30 days | $15.65 | TSimTech, 10 GB for 30 days | $13.25 |
| Indonesia | 12 GB for 30 days | $11.45 | Our own label, 10 GB for 30 days | $7.25 |
| USA | 7 GB for 30 days | $7.80 | Our own label, 10 GB for 30 days | $9.00 |
Sparks is not the cheapest brand we sell for Europe, India or Indonesia. For worldwide plans, Australia and New Zealand, and Egypt the prices are within about a dollar of each other, though the NextLink plans in those rows include 2 GB more. The cheaper TSimTech plan in the table cannot be topped up, and every Sparks plan can. Our comparison of travel eSIM brands sets the eight largest brands in our catalogue side by side.
What to know before you buy a Sparks eSIM
- It starts on first data use. You can install it at home on Wi-Fi, and the validity period begins when the eSIM first uses data. Our guide to when an eSIM starts counting explains the difference from plans that start on install.
- Activate it within two months. The plan pages say the eSIM expires if it is not activated within two months of purchase.
- You top up the same eSIM. Top-up packs attach to an activated eSIM, so you buy the plan first and add data later from your account.
- Websites see a UK location. All 167 plans list the UK as the IP routing location, whether you are in Egypt or Australia. See does a travel eSIM change your IP address for what that affects.
- 5G depends on the plan. 89 plans list 5G and 78 list 4G. The plan page shows which, with the networks in each country.
- Check the brand in the plan title. A few of our pages have “sparks” in the web address although the plan is now sold under our own Codeesim label, for example the UK and Ireland and the Spain and Portugal plans. The title on the page shows the current brand and terms.
When another plan is the better buy
- You want the lowest price in Europe. 10 GB for 30 days on our eSIMGo Europe plan costs $7.54. Our Europe eSIM guide compares it with Airalo, Ubigi and Holafly.
- You need a local IP address. Sparks data exits in the UK. For a US address, our own-label USA plan with 10 GB for 30 days at $9.00 exits in the USA, and so do NextLink’s USA plans.
- You want unlimited data. None of the 167 Sparks plans is unlimited. Start with whether unlimited eSIM data is really unlimited.
- You need a phone number. Sparks plans are data-only. See UK eSIMs with a phone number and USA eSIMs with a phone number.
- You bought Sparks somewhere else. We can check usage and sell top-ups only for plans bought from us. For any other purchase, ask the seller.
Frequently asked questions
What is Sparks eSIM?
Sparks is a travel eSIM brand whose prepaid data plans are sold through resellers, including Code eSIM. On 13 October 2026 we listed 167 Sparks plans for 39 destinations and regions. All are data-only, start on first data use and can be topped up.
How much does a Sparks eSIM cost?
In our catalogue on 13 October 2026, Sparks plans cost from $3.00 for 1 GB to $65.90 for 20 GB of global data valid for 365 days. A typical 10 GB plan for 30 days cost $10.55 for New Zealand, $12.00 for Australia and New Zealand, and $12.80 for 40 European countries.
Where does Sparks eSIM work?
The 167 Sparks plans we sell cover 39 destinations and regions. Global Special lists networks in 123 countries, Europe Asia and USA in 77, Balkans Special in 40 and Europe Special in 33. There are 24 single-country plans, from Argentina to Venezuela.
Is Sparks eSIM any good?
We can only report what the listings state: every Sparks plan we sell lists no speed cap, hotspot and top-up support, and names its networks in each country. We have not run speed tests. Our refund policy covers eSIMs that were never installed, within 14 days of purchase, less a $3 processing fee.
When does a Sparks eSIM start, and can I top it up?
Every Sparks plan we sell starts on first data use, so you can install it before you travel. The plan pages say it expires if not activated within two months of purchase. All 167 plans support top-up: you add data to the same eSIM after it is active.
What IP address does a Sparks eSIM use?
All 167 Sparks plans in our catalogue list the UK as their IP routing location. Websites and apps will see a UK address, whichever country you are in. If you need an address in the country you are visiting, pick a plan whose page lists that country as the exit.
Does Sparks have unlimited data or a phone number?
Not among the plans we sell. All 167 Sparks plans are fixed-data and data-only, from 1 GB to 60 GB. The largest are 50 GB and 60 GB plans valid for 30 to 90 days. For calls, use an app over the data, or choose a plan that includes a number.
Sparks or NextLink: which should I buy?
It depends on the destination. For the USA, NextLink costs $11.50 for 15 GB on T-Mobile and exits in the USA. For Europe, NextLink’s 20 GB costs $15.40 without Switzerland and Sparks’ costs $18.70 with it. Sparks covers more destinations and has 365-day plans.
Sparks plans are predictable: the same start rule, top-up, hotspot and UK exit on every plan. Pick Sparks for the destinations where it is the only option, for the Balkans, and for long validity. For Europe, the USA and much of Asia, compare it with the other brands on the destination page first.
Last reviewed 13 October 2026; the USA and Indonesia rows were updated on 17 October 2026, when their 10 GB plans moved from NextLink and RoamVault to our own label.
