Half Global eSIM: The 52 Destinations It Covers, Prices and Who It Suits (2026)

October 11, 2026

Half Global eSIM 2026: one plan for 52 destinations including the EU, UK, USA, Turkey and the UAE, from $11.40 for 12 GB over 30 days on 11 October 2026
Half Global covers Europe, the USA, Turkey, the UAE and Central Asia on one plan.

The Half Global eSIM is one data plan for 52 destinations: all 27 EU countries, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Turkey, the USA, the UAE, five western Balkan countries, the Caucasus and Central Asia. On 11 October 2026 it cost $11.40 for 12 GB over 30 days, $20.60 for 24 GB, and $32.20 for a 30 GB plan that lasts a year. It does not cover Canada, Mexico, Asia-Pacific, Latin America or Africa, and its days start counting when you install it, not when you land.

The name is accurate: it reaches roughly half of what a global plan does, for less than a third of the price. It is sold under the 3 (Three) brand, which is why some people search for it as the 3 Half Global eSIM. This page lists exactly where it works, what each size costs, how it compares with a Europe plan and a true global plan, and the cases where a different plan is the better buy.

Where the Half Global eSIM works

The plan page lists these 52 destinations. Hawaii is listed separately from the mainland USA, which is why the count is 52 and not 51.

Half Global eSIM against other multi-region plans on 11 October 2026: Europe 34 countries 10 GB $7.54, Europe and USA 43 destinations 12 GB $11.00, Half Global 52 destinations 12 GB $11.40, Europe Asia and USA 10 GB $20.00
More destinations cost more; Half Global sits between a Europe plan and a global one.

Half Global and other multi-region plans: prices compared

The question is always how far the plan reaches against what it costs. The first five rows are plans we sell, at our prices on 11 October 2026. The last two are global plans at the prices on Airalo’s and Ubigi’s own pages on the same date.

Plan Reach Price Days start
Europe 34 countries, with the UK, Switzerland and Turkey $7.54 for 10 GB, 30 days On first use
Europe and USA 43 destinations $11.00 for 12 GB, 30 days On first use
Half Global 52 destinations $11.40 for 12 GB, 30 days On install
Europe, Asia and USA More than 75 destinations $20.00 for 10 GB, 30 days On first use
Global More than 120 destinations $41.06 for 10 GB, 180 days On first use
Airalo global plan 170 destinations $57.00 for 10 GB, 180 days Not checked
Ubigi world plan Not counted $39.00 for 10 GB, 30 days Not checked

Against our Europe and USA plan, Half Global costs 40 cents more for the same 12 GB. What you get for the difference is the UAE, Russia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, the Caucasus and Central Asia. What you give up is Ukraine and Israel, which the Europe and USA plan lists, and the later start: that plan’s 30 days begin when you first use data, not when you install it.

Networks, exit location and terms

Term Half Global eSIM
Networks in the USA Verizon, AT&T
Networks in the UK 3, Vodafone, O2
Networks in France and Germany Orange and Free Mobile; Vodafone
Networks in Turkey Turkcell, Vodafone, Türk Telekom
Network in the UAE du
Data exits in Hong Kong
When the days start When the eSIM is installed
Use-by date Install within two months of purchase
Top-up Yes
Hotspot Yes
Phone number No; data only

Two of these terms catch people out. First, the plan starts on install. If you install it a week before you fly, you have used a week of your 30 days at home, so install it the day you travel. Our guide to when an eSIM starts counting lists the plans that work this way. Second, your data exits in Hong Kong wherever you are, so websites see a Hong Kong location. Our guide to how a travel eSIM changes your IP address explains what that affects.

Who the Half Global eSIM suits

  • Europe with a stop in the UAE or Turkey. Dubai is on the plan, and a UAE-only plan costs more: our guide to the best eSIM for Dubai and the UAE has the comparison.
  • Europe and the USA with the Balkans. It lists Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, which many Europe plans leave out. See which Europe eSIMs cover the Balkans.
  • The Caucasus and Central Asia. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are on one plan with Europe.
  • Several trips a year. The 365-day plans cost $32.20 for 30 GB and keep one eSIM working across every trip.

When a different plan is the better buy

  • You are only visiting Europe. Our 34-country Europe plan is $7.54 for 10 GB. The guide to the best eSIM for Europe compares it with Airalo, Ubigi and Holafly.
  • You are only visiting Europe and the USA. The Europe and USA plan is $11.00 for 12 GB and starts on first use.
  • Your trip includes Asia, Canada, Mexico or Australia. Half Global does not list them. Our guide to global eSIM plans covers the wider options.
  • You are buying far ahead. The plan must be installed within two months, and the days start on install.
  • You are going to Kosovo or Ukraine. Neither is on the list.

What does the brand in a plan’s name change? The start rule, top-up and exit location usually follow the brand. See travel eSIM brands compared: Sparks, NextLink, TSimTech, eSIMGo, Three and RoamVault.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Half Global eSIM?

It is a data-only travel eSIM that works in 52 destinations, mainly Europe, the USA, Turkey, the UAE, the Caucasus and Central Asia. On 11 October 2026 it cost $11.40 for 12 GB over 30 days at Code eSIM. Its data exits in Hong Kong.

Which countries does the Half Global eSIM cover?

All 27 EU countries, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, the Faroe Islands, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Moldova, Belarus, Russia, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the UAE and the USA including Hawaii.

Does the Half Global eSIM work in the USA?

Yes. The plan page lists Verizon and AT&T in the USA, and Hawaii is included. It does not list Canada or Mexico, so a trip across North America needs a different plan.

When does the Half Global eSIM start counting?

When you install it, not when you first use data abroad. Install it on the day you travel, and within two months of buying it. The 30-day and 365-day periods both run from the install date.

Can the Half Global eSIM be topped up?

Yes. The plan supports top-ups, so you can add data to the same eSIM. It also supports hotspot sharing. It is data only, with no phone number, so your home SIM keeps your own number for calls and texts.

Is Half Global cheaper than a global eSIM?

Yes, because it covers fewer places. On 11 October 2026, Half Global cost $11.40 for 12 GB over 30 days. Our global plan cost $41.06 for 10 GB over 180 days, Airalo’s global plan $57.00 for 10 GB, and Ubigi’s world plan $39.00 for 10 GB over 30 days.

Check your route against the list above. If every stop is on it, this is usually the cheapest single plan for the trip.
