For a trip through two or more Latin American countries, a regional eSIM is the best value: 10 GB for 30 days across 17 countries cost $24.84 with us on 12 October 2026, against $36.00 with Airalo for the same 17 countries and $48.00 with Ubigi. For light use, 5 GB cost $13.00 to $14.60 with us and $22.00 with Airalo. For unlimited data, Airalo’s week is $39.00 and Holafly’s $40.90; we do not sell one. If you are visiting one country, a single-country plan is usually cheaper: 10 GB cost $10.04 in Costa Rica and $16.25 in Brazil.
Latin America is expensive for travel data, and the country lists differ: some regional plans leave out Mexico, and most leave out the Caribbean. Below are four providers’ own prices for the same plan sizes, the countries each plan covers, and the routes where a different plan is the better buy. We sell these plans ourselves, so we list their weak points too.

Our 17-country plan carries the Latamlink name, the same name Airalo uses for its own Latin America plan, and we sell it through a wholesale partner. Both listings name the same 17 countries. Airalo’s unlimited plans slow to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day. Holafly’s have no daily speed cap, but hotspot sharing is limited to 1 GB a day.
Which countries each plan covers
This is the table to check first. Mexico, Bolivia and the Caribbean are where the plans differ.

Our nine-country plan lists networks in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Peru and Uruguay. For the Dominican Republic we sell a single-country plan at $19.70 for 10 GB. The rest of the Caribbean is not on any of our regional plans.
One regional plan or one plan per country?
In most of the world a single-country plan is the cheap option. In Latin America single-country plans are dear enough that the regional plan wins as soon as you cross one border. These were our cheapest 10 GB plans for 30 days on 12 October 2026.
| Country | 10 GB for 30 days |
|---|---|
| Costa Rica | $10.04 |
| Brazil | $16.25 |
| Colombia | $20.59 |
| Peru | $21.39 |
| Ecuador | $22.40 |
| Chile | $24.19 |
| Argentina | $24.44 |
For one country, the single-country plan costs less than the regional plan in every row, by 40 cents in Argentina and by $14.80 in Costa Rica. For two countries the sum flips: Argentina and Chile separately cost $48.63 for 10 GB in each, against $24.84 for 10 GB shared across both and 15 more countries. For Mexico, see our guide to the best eSIM for Mexico; Brazil is compared in the next section.
Brazil eSIM prices compared
Code eSIM prices were checked on 26 October 2026; Airalo, Ubigi and Holafly prices come from each provider’s own page on 10 October 2026, in US dollars.
| Plan | Code eSIM | Airalo | Ubigi | Holafly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 GB, 30 days | $9.25 | $13.00 | Not checked | Unlimited only |
| 10 GB, 30 days | $16.25 | $23.00 | $19.00 | Unlimited only |
| 20 GB, 30 days | $26.45 | $36.00 | Not checked | Unlimited only |
| Unlimited, 7 days | Not sold | $25.00 | Not checked | $28.50 |
Code eSIM’s Brazil plans can use Claro and TIM; Airalo uses TIM, Ubigi TIM and Vivo, and Holafly all three. None of them needs a CPF, the Brazilian taxpayer number that local prepaid lines are normally registered against. Code eSIM does not sell an unlimited Brazil plan.
Networks, top-ups and where your data exits
| Our plan | Networks | Data exits in | Top-up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Latamlink, 17 countries | Telcel in Mexico; Claro in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru; Tigo in Colombia and Bolivia | Not listed | Yes |
| Nine-country plan | TIM and Vivo in Brazil; Movistar in Argentina, Colombia and Peru; Movistar and WOM in Chile | United Kingdom | Yes |
| North America plan | AT&T and Movistar in Mexico | United Kingdom or Ireland | Yes |
Both regional plans start counting on first data use and list hotspot as supported. The North America plan’s page warns that its coverage in Mexico is weak outside the main cities, so for a trip beyond Mexico City, Cancún and the other big cities, the 17-country plan, which lists Telcel, is the safer choice. Our guide to Mexico’s networks explains the difference.
When someone else’s plan is the better buy
- You stream video every day. We do not sell an unlimited Latin America plan. Airalo’s week is $39.00 and Holafly’s $40.90.
- Your trip includes Belize or Puerto Rico. Holafly’s and Ubigi’s plans list them. Ours and Airalo’s do not.
- Your trip includes the USA or Canada as well. Ubigi’s Americas plan covers both along with Latin America, at $48.00 for 10 GB.
- You need a local phone number. All of these plans are data only. Airalo sells Mexico plans with minutes and texts.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best eSIM for Latin America?
For two or more countries, a regional plan. On 12 October 2026, 10 GB for 30 days across 17 countries cost $24.84 with Code eSIM, $36.00 with Airalo and $48.00 with Ubigi. For unlimited data, Airalo’s week is $39.00 and Holafly’s $40.90.
Is there one eSIM for all of South America?
Nearly. Our 17-country plan and Airalo’s list Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, along with Mexico and six Central American countries. None of the four plans we checked lists Guyana or Suriname.
Does a Latin America eSIM work in Mexico?
Only if Mexico is on the plan’s country list. Our 17-country plan lists Mexico on Telcel, and Airalo’s, Holafly’s and Ubigi’s plans list it too. Our cheaper nine-country plan does not cover Mexico.
Is a regional eSIM cheaper than separate country eSIMs?
From two countries, yes. On 12 October 2026, separate 10 GB plans for Argentina and Chile cost $48.63, against $24.84 for one 10 GB plan covering both. For a single country, the single-country plan was cheaper in all seven countries we priced.
Which Latin America eSIM covers the most countries?
Of the plans we checked on 12 October 2026, Ubigi’s Americas plan lists 25 destinations, including the USA, Canada and the Dominican Republic, at $48.00 for 10 GB. Holafly’s lists 18, and Airalo’s and ours list 17.
Can I top up a Latin America eSIM?
Yes on ours. Both our 17-country plan and our nine-country plan support top-ups, so you can add data to the same eSIM. Check the plan page before you buy elsewhere.
Count your countries first. One country needs a country plan; two or more need the regional plan that lists them all.
